VIVIENNE E. PERKINS, Ph.D., ARTIST
11151 GRANT RD., FRANKTOWN, CO 80116-9221
(303) 841-4059
I. Artist's statement:
I believe the artist's desire is to record the Earth's beauty so as to remind people of what we are in the process of losing through our folly and greed. An artist's technique is important only insofar as it contributes to revealing "the power and intelligence of a companionable human soul" (Ruskin) as that soul surveys our common human home. Thus, the painting should inspire love for the Earth while reflecting, at the same time, the honest sensibilities of the artist.
